Makeup & Makeup Brands INTRO-

Makeup can be overwhelming!
So many brands, so many products, how do you choose?

I like to start with the basics, I feel everyone should have.

PRIMER! PRIMER! PRIMER!
Whether you are not a makeup wearer, or you like to put on,
 what I call my "face."
A primer is your best friend!

The main job of a primer is to create a barrier for the skin.
It helps to prevent the skin for absorbing your makeup and keeps your makeup on longer.
For those who don't wear makeup, I recommend a primer under your sunscreen.

TOP FAVES:

MAKEUP FOREVER-
HD MICROPERFECTING PRIMER IN #0
It's great for normal to dry skin types.
They have many to choose from depending on your skin needs.

BENEFIT-
THAT GAL- Pink undertone and water based.
Great for those who need a little boost in their skin tone.

TWO FACED-
I have yet to try this, but has gotten some amazing reviews!

FOUNDATION-VS. TINTED MOISTURIZERS

This has always been my biggest challenge.
Finding a product that will work FOR your skin and not against it.
As a freelance makeup artist, I have had my share of good and not so good.

To break it down easy ask yourself these questions-
1. How much coverage do I want?
2. How many steps do I want take?
3. How long do I want my makeup to last?
Based on these questions, you will be able to determine you are more of a
foundation wearer or tinted moisturizer kinda gal.

FOUNDATION-
Generally a foundation is considered "full coverage." For those who have skin areas
of concern, the right foundation can be your best friend. The key to applying a foundation is
BLENDING, BLENDING, BLENDING!
We've all been there, where your face color and neck color don't match...
Or you get a nice fabulous foundation line that stops right at the jawline.
The key is to make your foundation LOOK like your skin.
*The BEAUTY BLENDER sponge is my favorite for applying foundation.

FOUNDATION FAVES-
Laura Mercier- Luminous foundation
Benefit- Play Stick
Makeup Forever- HD
 DIOR
MAC- Pro Longwear concealer

 TINTED MOISTURIZER
A tinted moisturizer is a lighter coverage and usually water based.
Meaning it's great for all skin types.
There are various levels of coverage depending on what brand you choose.
Generally a foundation brush or sponge can be used to apply.

*DO NOT be lazy and use your fingers to apply!

TINTED MOISTURIZER FAVES-
Aveda
 Laura Mercier
Sephora- Sephoras
